Works as it should but be aware this exercise is quite difficult for starters.

Not an easy exercise, but a quality piece of hardware.

The design allows only a single anchor point that then secures to the middle of the bar. Unless you've already trained your hamstrings or are familiar with Nordic hamstring curls, you'll have a very hard time keeping your balance and performing this exercise correctly or effectively.

This thing seems super solid. The strap is solid and the cam buckle is smooth. Appear well made.

Functions exactly as advertised. Great if you're trying to work on abdominal muscles and/or core strength, and don't have a partner to assist with.

So what drew me to this item in the first place was its ability to aid in Nordic hamstring curls. I have a really weak posterior chain and have trouble isolating certain muscles in order to actually strengthen them, the hamstrings being one of those muscles. I wanted to start doing the hamstring curls to help with that, and this is a great solution to the issue of finding something to hold my feet down while I do it. The padding is thick enough to be reasonably comfortable. It also unexpectedly helped with another problem I was having- my squat form. Again, because of my weak posterior chain combined with my poor ankle flexibility, I struggle a lot with getting into a low squat without my heels coming off the ground. When I try to lean back more to correct this, I often fall backwards. The padded piece that sits behind your knees keeps me from falling without having to hold a dumbbell in front of me to counteract the weight. It could be just a little wider to allow me to widen my stance a bit, but it still has been tremendously helpful for keeping proper form and activating the right muscles. I'm excited to try it with other applications, such as ab exercises.The strap seems well constructed and strong. It stays wedged in my door well and I feel safe with it bearing all my weight. The 'do not open' warning on the wedge piece that sits on the other side of the door is a nice touch. Although I use it on my front door and keep it locked while doing so, it's nice to know I can use this on other doors if need be and have that added protection of deterring someone from opening the door while I'm using it.

To better set the expectation here, this is a Nordic hamstring curl strap. It is in no way a complete home gym. It is well engineered and made of quality materials and does exactly what it was designed for--facilitating Nordic hamstring curls.I had originally ordered thinking the possibility of a gym in a bag that would provide a through workout when away from home and a good supplement to my home routines. It definitely facilitates hamstring curls as you'd imagine but some of the other exercises the instruction book lists can be performed as well if not better using your own body weight without the benefit of this strap (i.e., pushups, squats, crunches, etc.). With that said, I do like using it for sit-ups rather than cramming my feet under a bench or couch. The strap adjusts very easily and smoothly to whatever length is needed. Once adjusted, it doesn't slip when in use. Additionally, the included travel bag is also a nice touch and the strap itself, packs very well inside it.All in all, this Nordic hamstring curl strap is a good value and made very well if a hamstring curl strap is specifically what you need or want. This strap would be a good addition to most home gyms for specific exercises it was designed for. On the other hand, keep on looking if you are looking for a total gym experience in a bag as this is not that.
