Better than the other Diesel Heaters ?
I recomend this unit and here is the pros and cons and wishes for an improved unit.First....I watched about 20 videos from other manufactures. I looked at the 100 dollar units all the way to the 500 dollar units. Since this is my first Diesel heater I wanted to buy a middle of the road one. After reviewing the pros and cons of the others I picked this one.80 percent of the other manufatures all had one common complaint. BEING LOUD and NOISY.Everyone complained about the fuel pump ticking. Others complained about the exhaust noise. Others the features.First the good which is GOOD. The fuel pump on this N4 model is not noisy like the others. Sure when you first start it up for the first time it does but then it got quiet. The competetors are all very noisy. So I am very happy. The Intake of the combustion air is not that bad. Even if it is it can be easily corrected with a foam box around it since it is cold air. The heat it puts out is insaine.....I have to run mine at 1.4 rate (the lowest) for my motorhome which means on one tank it will run 24 hours. Even at that it will need to be turned off periodically because it will run you out even in very cold weather. So...that means its more like 36 hours on one tank. Thats great. Now the minor cons.....The exhaust on the N4 comes out the bottom not side and the legs are NOT tall enought to clear what ever it is sitting on. Solution...Buy 2 elbows and raise the unit up a bit with legs and presto your good. Do not try to bend the exhaust pipe that comes with it other than to strighten it and attachit to the 90 degree elbow you buy extra.Problem solved. The fuel air intake for combustion and exhaust intake for combustion both exit the bottom as said. BUT the fuel line is smack next to the exit exhaust. I thought this was a bit dangerous. Again easy fix. Just wrap a little exhaust tape around it. Now its no problem. Easy !!!It can run off temp or flow rate. I wish under temp control it would shut off once it reached the desired temp like your home. It only goes to the lowest setting which can be fine for most. But my motorhome is very well insulated (not like todays motorhomes which ar JUNK and drafty with no insulation. So this just may be my issue. It okay with me because it runs at low and lasts 24-36 hours on one tank. I could not remover the screen control which looks like it can be removed. If I could I could put the unit outside with hoses coming in and have the temp control in my RV ..... then ANY noise would not be an issue. Maybe I am wrong. I will remove it later since it is only held in with plastic and the wire harness only has 3 wirs or get another control screen. The exhaust muffler sucks jsut like every other manufacture so I purchesed an higher quality one ....problem solved. Now it is very quiet.I have not had it long so I can not quote on the durability. But it is made well and all self contained. Good!!!!It is more expensive than the other BUT... WORTH it since it does not have the noise issues of ALL the other. You get what you pay for. So....I ended up buying a 90 degree fitting at 5 bucks and exhaust pipe for 20 bucks for noise that was my prefference. Not really needed. I also purchase a 300 inch exhaust pipe since I will extend it and also recover the heat for the exhaust gas since the pipe is SUPER hot. Why waist that heat. I will use this for my garage, RV and emergency heat in my home. Works well......So I do recomend this unit with minor modification.

Could be more efficient
Going to route the 430 plus degrees Fahrenheit exhaust (muffler side) into some kind of heatsink before routing it outside. A lot of potential heat would be wasted if only using the small length of exhaust routed directly outside.Used some High Temperature Copper Gasket Maker around the exhaust connections to make sure the gasses are expelled outside and not escaping around small gaps and into my garage.Doing that small modification trapping the exhaust heat, our 2 car garage should stay warm enough for me to repair anything with an engine or wheels and be at a comfortable temperature during the winter season.Set the unit to 18C - After just an hour of run time the temperatures rose from 31 to over 46 degrees Fahrenheit in most places checked, with a high of 52 in a few spots. At 3 hours the entire garage was 58 to 60 degrees everywhere I checked. Garage is partially insulated on the walls with a giant cement slab floor that I pointed the hot air vent at to be my main heatsink. When the glowplug heats up it takes around 150 watts and was under 2 amps, after the warm up cycle, the entire unit only takes around 38 watts and under 0.8amps on the lowest setting plugged into 120v outlet. The fuel pump had an extremely loud clicking sound at first but it quickly went away after 20 clicks or so, the diesel fuel I doped with some Rislone Hy-per Lube Fuel Treatment must have lubricated the internals. Can't hear the pump with the fan on the lowest setting. A lot of good name brands out there sell fuel system lubricants for both gas and diesel, if your favorite brand has a diesel or multi fuel version try it out to help quiet the pump clicking.Another way to lessen the sound is put some rubber dampening between the fuel pump and any mounts.

This LF Bros heater is the real deal! Would highly recommend!
This 5kw LF Bros diesel heater works exceptionally well. I purchased this heater to keep my partner, dog and I warm during cold weather camping trips in our roof top tent. We’ve used this heater in temps as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit and it’s performed exceptionally well.Setup of the heater was easy, despite the instructions being less than helpful. Initial startup of the heater was successful and we didn’t need to prime the fuel pump as the instructions outline. The remote control that came with the heater was already paired which made for a nice touch. The heater operates off a temperature or fan speed setting. We typically run the heater on 4.0 fan speed or 30 degrees Celsius. We would recommend against running the heater at its lowest fan speed or heat setting, as it threw an error. While we don’t know for sure, we believe this was due to the heater itself getting too warm. We’ve also read these heaters typically do best when running at high fan speeds or temperatures. As far as power, we’re using an Anker power bank (256wh) or sometimes we’ll run an 100ah AGM style battery. Both work well for our use case and power the heater reliably.Fuel consumption appears to be great. Out of the 11 trips or so we’ve taken, we’ve only needed the heater running long enough to consume a full tank on 2 possibly 3 occasions. Despite the heater running dry of diesel, once refilled, we restarted it without issue. The general build quality of the heater appears to be high end with solid strength. We aren’t worried about the metal or plastic display breaking as they feel durable. One downside is the exhaust vent comes out beneath the heater which requires it to be placed on wooden blocks to prevent the exhaust elbow piece from making contact with the ground.Overall, we would highly recommend this heater to those who need reliable heat, at an affordable price. Whether it’s a small square foot shop, a tent, roof top tent or vehicle, this heater should work for your purpose. As always, use a carbon monoxide monitor if you’re using the heater near where you’re sleeping or occupying just to be safe.We wouldn’t hesitate to order another if we had a need for two heaters!
