Very good value and excellent product
My existing fireplace needed to vent and I’m in a high wind so the pilot light kept going out. I ordered this and it has worked tremendously well. I ordered some logs extra for on the side to make it look especially beautiful.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT...TOXIC SMELL!!! BUYER BEWARE... Take note of this HONEST review!!!
I rarely write reviews UNLESS the seller is NOT HELPFUL, regardless of when we purchased their product.Purchased this as a replacement of our older unit.* FIRST...it didn't come with everything we needed, such as particular attachments, so the hunt for that wasn't easy.*SECOND...the minute we turned on the fireplace, a horrible smell (instant headache so i knew they were toxic) emitted from these logs and it set off our fire alarms! So we contacted the seller directly and they told us that the flames can NOT come in contact with the logs!!! Whaaaat? So we shifted the logs around accordingly and the alarms didn't go off BUT the smell was so strong and again, instant headache. I CAN NOT have this unit operating, specially with my grandsons, knowing that I could be causing them health issues and harm.*THIRD...We reached out the seller AGAIN (even thought we're outside of our 30 day return window (SO DUMB with an item like this...it's not like buying shoes and you instantly know if they fit or will work for what you need them for) and the seller said, sorry...it's outside of the 30-day-return time frame.*The picture doesn't depict how the logs should be placed. We placed the vertical ones in there for the time being to get them out of the way since they can't be used (flames can't touch the logs...so stupid). So ignore the layout of the logs...just FYI. (AND they really don't look all that great either...nothing like the listing on Amazon). We're without a fireplace now and will look for an alternative brand...Moral of this story: don't buy such items like this that don't come with a great warranty and satisfaction guaranteed behind the product. A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!DON'T waste your time, energy in finding all the little parts from the hardware store that aren't included, and money on something that you can't use. Spend the extra money...might be 3X more than this cost of product, but at least the company will come and install them, and they won't be toxic to your environment. Safety should be the number one concern and this company clearly doesn't care that they put off a toxic smell and fumes.

Hope the odor goes away
The media could not be loaded. Got this and put it together and we love it. There is definitely an odor from the logs or the bits at the bottom, but we are hoping this goes away. We did have to order separate parts to hook it up to our tank. The instructions say to NOT use a small tank as you would with a BBQ grill, but so far it is working fine. It should have said that before you actually buy it. If you don’t put those little bits in front of he burner it looks weird, but once you place those it looks great! We love the remote. As others have said, it was hard to get it started at first, and when you shut it off and turn it back on it takes a bit for the flame to come through all the holes, but not long. Wish we had done this when we bought the house 8 years ago! So far so good.

Very Nice Product for a Very Affordable Price
After getting quotes for new gas logs starting at $2500 and up, we ordered these for about $275 and found a plumber friend to help us install. For the price this is a very nice product. The packaging was great and nothing was broken. These gas logs will PUT OUT SOME HEAT!!!!! So far we are very pleased. Installation instructions were very clear, and the automatic thermostat as well as oxygen depletion sensors give us peace of mind. I read a lot of the negative reviews and I believe most of these are from inexperienced installers, or they just didn’t read the instructions because almost every concern expressed is addressed in the paperwork.

Great Replacement
This product price was less than half of what I was quoted by a service person to replace my non-functioning 25 year old set of gas logs. I knew I was paying much less than other options and wasn't sure I would be satisfied my purchase but took a chance. On the negative side, one of the logs was broken on arrival (despite what looks like very good packaging, but I contacted the seller through Amazon and got a replacement within 2 weeks. I highly recommend buying the "IKENIUP One Stop Gas Appliance Hook Up Kit, 22” Stainless Steel Flexible Gas Connector with 1/2''Brass Gas Shutoff Valve For Gas Log, Gas Dryer, Garage Heater, Gas Stove, Wall Heater and Fireplace" when purchasing as it contains the necessary adapters to hook this up and replace the existing lines. I also believe that it is imperative to also purchase "Rectorseal 25631 4-Ounce No. 5 Pipe Thread Sealant , Yellow , 4 fl. oz." to use on all connections and not rely on just the plumbers tape that the unit comes with, or you may have a very slow leak. (Many have stated that the unit smells even after burning it for several days, I did not have this experience which I believe is due to the use of the rectorseal product.). Another complaint other have is that the remote control receiver is made of plastic and melts. I installed the receiver in the sheet rock in place of my original wall switch (had to modify a wall plate), and took advantage of the existing wiring to my old unit. Receiver therefore is not going to melt.
