Koala Ultra Premium Photo Paper 8.5 x 11 In Satin Photo Printer Paper for Inkjet Printer Water-Resistant Semi Gloss 50 Sheets 72lb

Purchased this product [11x17] as an alternative to the pricier luster papers I normally use (Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl, etc.) and knew I'd be taking a risk ordering it - not because of its reviewed quality, but because 7 out of 10 reviewers said it arrived damaged. I'm a professional photographer who has been printing for years, so I have a more critical eye than most I guess; with that said, I was certainly NOT disappointed with the Koala paper. The paper finish was just right, the weight (though a bit less than my usual choices) was just fine for my purpose and the sharpness/acuity seem to be right on the money (only did two tests and didn't profile it). It MIGHT be a tiny bit cooler than my usual papers, but not enough to cause concern. I print through Photoshop on an Epson 3880 Pro printer. I would recommend the paper, absolutely.As for Amazon's handling of the shipment, as usual, not much to recommend there - I specifically checked the box to say to ship in an Amazon box, to minimize the chance of damage in transit, but NO, it was shipped only in the manufacturer's carton. Astoundingly, it arrived in perfect condition - and a day early (thanks for that). Oh well.

Nice solid paper, images print very nicely, like the shine, I use this for certain prints that I feel can benefit from the extra shine. I can recommend this paper, have also used other from the same brand and they also are fine products.

Pretty good paper. Had issues when I first used the paper, because I didn't read the directions correctly and my pictures came out all smeared and distorted. When I FINALLY figured it out, the pictures came out clear, however the quality of the picture could be better (and I have a very nice HP photo printer). Overall, it's an okay photo paper

First time ordering and I'm impressed by the image quality and love the protective cardboard packaging (which keeps corners protected) Buy this paper over others that don't offer protection and you will be thankful.

I have been using Koala papers for a year now and I can tell you that I couldn't be happier with the quality of the paper. I have and Epson ET-8550 and print many 13 x 19 prints as well as various other sizes, and they look great! As for the people complaining about the ink being blurred, not drying, and smearing... NEWS FLASH! YOU'RE PRINTING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE PAPER! Sorry, didn't mean to yell, but I too have mistakenly loaded the paper incorrectly, especially their Matte finish and the results are not good, stop and turn the paper over for the next print. I think the satin finish is pretty easy to tell which side is the correct side. Thank you, Koala, for great photo paper. No, I did not get paid or receive any kind of compensation for this review.

Purchased to use with my Epson inkjet ecotank and it was perfect! I printed my own family Christmas photo card since each year I am highly unsatisfied with Walgreens or Staples quality. This photo paper was perfect with the high quality photo semi-glass setting in my printer. The colors came out exactly as shown on my computer with these settings. Additionally, I felt the weight/thickness of the paper was of the perfect for the Christmas card. It was a little thicker than a photo printed at wallgeens. The Satin finish is not quite matte but not glossy either.
