Decent ball...but not "Power Pickleballs"
Depending on your expectations and style of play, these pickleballs may do the trick. In terms of size and weight, they match up pretty comparably to other balls on the market. Similar to most rotomolded balls, the thickness of the walls is somewhat inconsistent, and some spots are definitely thicker than others and I would say that the variance in these Diadem balls are more than most, and certainly more than balls from Franklin, Dura, Vulcan and Selkirk. I have often found that this above average variance in wall thickness can result in unusual flights and inconsistent bounces, however I was happy to have not experienced those issues with these Diadem balls. Overall, they played pretty consistently though they did not provide the same level of pop and power that other balls can provide. In terms of their hardness, they are harder than a X-40 but not as hard as the Selkirk balls, and are pretty similar to the Vulcans though they do not have nearly as much bounce as any of them. Out of the box, they have a fairly smooth surface but they do have a very slight texture which is receptive to spin. They rough up pretty nicely within a game or two, and become even more controllable from that point. Overall, they are a fairly durable ball, and I have not had any cracks as of yet. They also have held their shape and none of the ones I have been playing with have gone significantly out of round as of yet. That all said, these are pretty decent balls and they were definitely good for lots of pickleball fun, however these are by no means "Power Pickleballs." Generally speaking, I found these balls to be on the dead side. Still very playable, but lacking the pop, power and bounce I would expect in a "Power Pickleball." Great choice though if you are wanting to squeeze some more control out of your game. But be warned, once you get used to these, it will take you some readjustment the next time you play a game with a Selkirk. Shots that would have been easily in with the Diadem will be long and out with the harder and livelier Pro S1.

Awful hard heavy ball
The ball is very hard, heavy, not well balanced (wobbly) and super fast. I’m a 4.0 level and I couldn’t do much with it but smash it, it has very little control or spin or none. Dangerous, if it hits you anywhere it’ll hurt. It’ll knock your teeth out. After just two games my shoulder began to hurt and I haven’t had shoulder problems. If you see it used in a tournament, I’d stay away, you won’t enjoy your games.

NEVER CRACKS
This is my third time ordering the Diadem Premier Power Pickleball. They seem to be far more superior than the x-40 and the very expensive, Vulcan junk. My diadem balls either get lost or just never get returned after friends borrow them. People in my community love playing with them. I have my name on my balls. the picklers call it the SAL ball. Diadem, Please don't change anything with your official pickleball.

This ball is very durable!
My friends are mostly using Franklin balls and I was too. Then Diadem donated some balls for the shooting of my movie Pickleball Princess so I have been using them since June. Haven't had a ball crack yet while we have Franklin balls dropping like flies - especially during this winter season. These are a bit more expensive than Franklin but I'm sure you get more hours per penny than you do with Franklin.

Best Ball
Maintains its shape better than X-40’s. Plays fast like Duras without the cracking/breaking issues. Consistent bounce and true flight. Best ball out there to date.
