Wish I'd bought one ages ago
Working on my own I got fed up of struggling with a retractable tape measure & remembered these folding types. I chose this one from Stabila as it's metric only so you don't end up with the markings on the wrong side like you can with a metric/imperial rule.This is a great tool, very easy to read & more rigid than a retractable tape when it's extended out over the full two meters. It's light as well so easy to hold. Highly recommended.

Great handy tool for any archaeologists
Archaeologist here. Got this to help record features rather than use a tape measure all the time.Brilliant. No tapes blowing in the wind while recording sections.Stadia on the back might not be too accurate for levelling (but not many use a dumpy anymore) but it’s great for a photo scale of small features or finds.

Really useful rule
I bought this for measuring a wide Roman blind and it works really well. A slight adjustment I could suggest is that it would be useful to have the rule stack to the top which would make it more useful to use as a small rule. But great product at a good price.
