Camera
The camera has been an outstanding addition to my home security setup! From the moment I installed it, I’ve been impressed by its performance and the peace of mind it offers. Here’s why I highly recommend it:Crystal Clear Video QualityThe 1080p HD video resolution is fantastic, capturing sharp and detailed footage, even at night with its excellent infrared night vision. I was able to clearly see everything, whether it was day or night, and it has helped me feel more secure.Effortless SetupThe installation process couldn’t have been easier! The app guided me step-by-step, and I had it up and running in just minutes. The user-friendly interface of the app makes it simple to control the camera, adjust settings, and monitor live feeds from anywhere.Responsive Motion DetectionThe motion detection works flawlessly and sends instant alerts to my phone whenever any activity is detected. I especially appreciate that I can customize detection zones, ensuring that I don’t get false alarms from things like tree branches or passing cars.Two-Way AudioThe two-way audio feature is a fantastic touch. I’ve used it several times to communicate with delivery people when I wasn’t home, and the sound quality is clear on both ends. It’s also fun to check in on my pets when I’m away!Flexible Storage OptionsI love that it offers both cloud storage and local storage with a microSD card. It’s nice to have the option to choose what works best for me, and the subscription plan for cloud storage is affordable and provides plenty of space for recorded footage.ConclusionOverall, the camera has exceeded my expectations. It delivers everything I could want in a home camera—clear video, reliable motion alerts, easy setup, and great features like two-way audio. For anyone looking for a dependable, high-quality camera to enhance their home security, I highly recommend this one!

Clear and Simple!
I received my camera a few weeks ago but waited to post my review until I was confident in the ability of the unit to perform. This looks different than a standard ring door bell and with good reason. The pictures are in color and crisp. And while the Ring gives a crackly microphone, this camera plays a warning alarm to alert someone they are being recorded which I love!Set up isn’t hard, but it does require downloading an app on your phone, but that is standard with all in home cameras. You’ll need Wi-Fi, I have fiber optic WiFi so it’s very step and reliable so the camera had no issue connecting. But I assume if your WiFi is on the weaker side you may have an issue if you chose to mount on a front yard tree or further from the house. This is solar, but also has a charging cord for back up which you’ll need to use before outside mounting. I’m in Western NY and we have over cast winters but in the two weeks I’ve had this up there hasn’t been any issues with loss of function. As we get into March I will update to this review as needed.Over all it’s a simple drill in set up that gives a wide and view of your property. You can tilt and pan from your phone, getting a full view of the area you are monitoring. Offering peace of mind for your safety and property. I’m really pleased with the whole unit (camera, solar charging and app). :)

Great camera, expensive data plans, virtually non-existent support
After trying anther name brand cellular trail camera without success, I purchased five of these cameras. I really like these cameras, but there are some important caveats. If you are not into reading long reviews (this is my first actually), you may want to jump to the penultimate paragraph.Installation is about as easy as it gets. The cameras themselves have robust features not available on most cellular cameras (e.g., light, two-way microphone/speaker for communicating, alarm, and siren). Each of these features can be turned on or off individually, which increases the camera's flexibility. The quality of photos and videos is great, and the camera can activate at an impressive distance better than most major cellular cameras. The Pan/Zoom/Tilt (PZT) feature is nice, silent when you stand beneath it, and offers an impressive extended coverage area. The app has a human detection function programmed into it, which allows the camera to operate in high traffic areas with lots of non-human traffic without needless alarms. There are only two drawbacks to the camera itself. First, the IR lights on the face of the camera glow red, and there are two other small red and blue working lights as well. This reduces the usefulness of this camera as a sub rosa surveillance device. Although you can cover the small red and blue working lights with tape, the large infra red lights cannot be covered since they are the light source for the infra red camera. Since almost all cellular cameras require infra red lighting in a similar manner, this is an evil that you will experience with most cellular cameras (except newer expensive ones). However, the small small red and blue working lights are a nuisance since they light up when the camera activates. Good to scare away intruders; worthless to surveil them.Second, the color Intelligent Vision setting which allows color night vision is rendered almost useless due to the fact that it requires light to provide color night vision. That is, the camera operates in black-and-white mode until it is activated at which point it turns on the camera lights and begins recording in color. The light activation renders the camera useless for sub rosa surveillance, and when the light activities, it causes a flash in the video at a very crucial moment (activation) that can render important identification information worthless due to obstructing the video with what is similar to the flash of an old flash bulb camera. This issue is easily remedied by simply using the black-and-white mode, but beware that the claim of color night vision is somewhat questionable due to these limitation issues. The drawbacks unrelated to the camera itself are also twofold. First, although the app offers robust features, it is not intuitive, and there is no help function or manual, either in print or online. Due to translation issues from Chinese to English, native English speakers will find some of the language used in the app cryptic or unusual and not intuitive. While you can figure out some of the cryptic functions via trial and error, I have yet to figure out what many of the app's robust features do because of this limitation.Lastly, but most importantly, the two data plans offered are confusing. One is $15.99 per month and the other is $24.99 per moth, and each camera requires its own data plan. I was unable to determine precisely what the difference is between the two plans, so I opted for the more expensive plan to play it safe and ensure I received the data I needed. I emailed support, and although my email tracker showed that the email had been opened 34 times, no one responded to my questions regarding the differences between the data plans. With 5 cameras using the more expensive plan, annual monitoring cost is over $1,000, which makes these cameras cost prohibitive in my option. Whatever you save by purchasing this camera, you will swiftly lose through purchasing the necessary data plan that is required for each camera to function (you cannot use the camera without a data plan). While I understand that each camera is similar to a cellphone in this regard, a bulk pricing plan or at least a graduated pricing plan should be offered where the price for each data plan decreases with the addition of every camera. In sum, this is a great camera. The documentation could be improved, and a manual would be nice even if available only online. However, the data plan cost prevents using these cameras on a large scale, which is unfortunate because there is a need for such a product/service, and it would increase sales for the company as well.
