Sleeping Gods: Primeval Peril by Red Raven Games, Strategy Games

Had my eye on Distant Skies for the longest time but wasn't ready to make the commitment. This is perfect price wise and time wise. Just took inventory of everything and got it all set up. So excited to dip my toes in the Sleeping series of games.

Good quality components. Nice intro to the Sleeping Gods style

This is a great introduction to the world of Sleeping Gods and great for two players. Like other Red Raven games, it has great illustrations, maps, and challenges. Even if you have already played Sleeping Gods or Distant Skies, this can be a nice 2-player shorter quest to enjoy.

I love sleeping gods and I have Distant Skies as well. both great games but major table hogs and feels like they need to be in the a week at a time. this entry into the world let’s you see the magic story building and the game mechanics in a stripped down less cluttered way that you can finish in just one or two game sessions.if you aren’t sure about sleeping gods- try this first to see if you’d like it. this is shorter, cheaper, more approachableand if you love sleeping gods but it rarely hits your table then try this. it pack in and out much faster!

Sleeping Gods is one of my favorite board games. But it’s hard to share it casually with people because it’s such a big experience. Not anymore! Primeval Peril is the perfect entry to share an evening of adventure with friends, and get them hooked on the Sleeping Gods series.
