It doesn’t just sit on your skin. It actually soaks in and I can tell it’s hydrating the second layer of skin unlike most moisturizers on the market. It has a softening effect on the skin. It feels very rich and thick, making it seem super luxurious. This is a silicone based product which means it will NOT layer well with water or oil based products. The silicone is necessary to form a barrier and lock in all that hydration. This does not clog your pores. It’s definitely for someone with dry/extra dry skin. They make a lighter version of this if you’re someone who is normal/oily/combo!

I think this needs MORE THAN 5 stars. I am extremely impressed after using this day cream for 1 week. My skin feels so soft and luxurious. I have combination skin that runs dry by afternoon. I have not noticed that at all with this product. I'm so happy that my skin tone is even and not blotchy. Its calming effects and luxurious texture have me using it at night time too.
