Written in 1950, this work has stood the test of time. Erik Erikson's developmental theory is easily accessible to both the professional and layperson. His writing gets across difficult tensions that we all encounter during the process of growing up. Having worked in special schools and a therapeutic community, I have come across many individuals who have been stuck at early stages of development, exhibiting trust or autonomy issues. This book lays out 8 stages showing the ideal and the likely issues encountered. Highly recommended.

Great study book

A classic: Read it 50 years ago enjoyed this edition just as much. A must for any student of life.

I read it years ago and bought this to refresh my memory of an excellent model by which to understand pyschological/social functioning

Good for education studies

The book is quite yellowed and has a badly ripped page but other than that it's ok.
