Good value and fits a Mercedes E class
I purchased this after reading the reviews and also the design. It does fit well, easy to install and holds the phone well. I looked through many photos of this installed in a car. They all show it being in the middle of the dash between two air vents. Which is a good location. For my 2018 E450, it does not fit in the middle. I have installed it closer to the left. There is a curve and the height at the middle is slightly taller than this unit. I did try, but gave up due to fear of the top plastic breaking.

Arm that attaches to base is too weak and bounces when driving and also creaks a lot.
Arm that attaches to base is too weak and bounces when driving over the slightest bump and cause creaks. You really have to fight to get the base to atach to the E-class wood trim. Not worth the hassel imo. Took it off and put it in a box of other junk amazon mounts.

Perfect location, sturdy
I’ve used tons and tons of phone mounts, so I know a thing or 2. First thing is I always swap out the holder for MagSafe magnet, usually charging but with the E300 it doesn’t have a good spot to hide the wires unless I open up the center console. The bottom part of the plastic that mounts to the car trim is kinda rubber, so it’s pretty sturdy and not easily broken. The other mount has 2 tiny plastic tabs, I imagine it would break with little effort. That makes this mount shake less vs the one with the 2 tiny plastic tabs. The plastic used is a good mixture of flexibility and sturdiness. I wasn’t too keen on the opaque clear but it’s growing on me and I don’t mind it at all now. It doesn’t block any ac vents, good height to not obstruct the car screen and be able to look at your phone if needed. Car has wired Apple CarPlay, but I’m looking at options to make it wireless and get MagSafe charging.

Perfect fit
This phone holder fits my iphone perfectly even with a case and finger grip. The release function works properly and the phone doesn’t shake or move while in the holder. It also fits my Mercedes as advertised and looks like a factory item. Happy with this purchase!

It looks like a returned item. The box is damaged, the plastic packaging inside is torn, and the product has some scratches.
