An Ooze Scanner! A Brain Scrambler!
Owned the original many years ago, this is the exact same thing. There are a lot of stickers, many of these 90s playsets (especially the TMNT playsets and the Jurassic Park playset) came with sticker packets that provided colorful details. In the case of the technodrome, there are a bunch of small stickers that go on tiny square patches on the outside of the technodrome plus along the base. Its a minor annoyance. Another couple gripes is that the technodrome will not shut with the "brain scrambler" (turtle torture spinner) or the command center perch in place. Those two accessories will have to be removed and stowed.Other than those minor complaints, this is a pretty gnarly playset. It looks fantastic, and has some really neat stuff on the inside, like the Turtle jail cell, the weapons storage area, the "ooze scanner" retro-mutagen device. When this toy was new, kids could also purchase cannister of the ooze which was you're basic fake toy slime, and you would strap a turtle into the ooze scanner and dump the ooze on them. While this sounded fun in theory, doing so was a bad idea because the ooze was difficult to clean up and would damage the stickers, and leave weird sticky flakes that were near impossible to eradicate. The Real Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ had a similar gimmick where you could pour the Ectoplasm through a grate in the roof to "slime" the GhostBusters. The ooze hasn't been in production for years, and that is for the best since few would be willing to risk getting this fine toy filthy. There's a lot to love here, nostalgiacs are going to want this one.

Close, but no turtle soup
Ordered one when this first came out and kept it sealed, but ordered another when this was discounted to open. This time, this came in a shipper box. Anyways, its been know now that the size of this technodrome was reduced when compared to the original. Lots of stickers to apply, but only had an issue with one sticker because it was too big for where it needed to be. One issue that really sticks out is the eyeball doesn't attach that well. It kind of just rests in a spot and will fall with with ease.Such a shame the size of this was reduced. The classic figures (sold separately) work somewhat well with this set, but not as originally designed.Overall, still very happy with this playset since I never had the original. As an older fan, this still makes for a great piece to display.

One Size Too Small
This Technodrome is closer to 3.75" scale. Definition of shrinkflation. Advertising this as a play set for Playmates TMNT figures is a lie.Stickers and instructions could be better. Stickers are lower grade. You need to be very careful with placement. I got all three sticker sheets unlike some reviewers supposedly only getting two (could be a lie to get replacement stickers due to poor placement).Amazon tried to cancel my order. I have never had Amazon try to do that to me. Like every single pre-order customer, we are all willing to wait months for this. No one wanted to cancel their orders.Nostalgia pushes this from 2 to 3 stars. People would gladly pay double for a "remastered" version, maybe even bigger. Amazon and Playmates missed the mark.

$80 for a the biggest piece of junk
I’ve already resigned myself to having to overspend on toy sets for the kids that are 4x the price of what they should be but it blows my mind you can charge $80 for something and the doors don’t even fit or stay on. The technodrome has essentially two dome like doors and only one fits in the assembly while the other just dangles in the hinge. I’ve never written a review on Amazon but for the love of god, please spend your money on something else other than this giant piece of you know what.
