Having a type A and a type C allows me to use the two mains sockets for a bedside light and clock radio.

Glad I bought this and it works well but suffers because the on/off switch is hidden by the charger plugged into the socket.

Direct USB Devices fail to charge
We bought two of these sockets one for each side of our bed and thought they' d be great. But the devices charge initially then it just stops. This happens both sides and the wiring has been confirmed correct. Really disappointed.
