Makes a good gift

I like the MAGICYOYO K2 Glow-in-the-Dark Yo-Yo because it can be seen well at night and it is well-finished too. That being said, here are some of the things that I'm not very keen on: it’s in plastic, and its weight, width, and the rest of such features are different from all other Yo-Yos, which makes some tricks harder than they should. It is stated that the yo-yo has a reversible bearing, but in real life it’s not true since the bearing is fixed and the yo-yo is designed as responsive.

I recently got the Glow in the Dark Yoyo for my daughter, and I would say its a good choice for a beginner like her. She picked it up reasonably well, and the yoyo is very forgiving, which made it easier for her to learn the basics. She'll have to keep with it obviously.The glow-in-the-dark feature added a fun touch, and she overall had a blast playing with it. The fact that it comes with 12 extra strings and an accessory kit is a nice bonus, too. Overall, it’s been a great yoyo for her to start with, and she’s really enjoying it!

I found it a little frustrating to have to find a video to show me how to attach the string which is a process. I then found it much more difficult to use this yo-yo, but I recognize it may be because it’s a more professional type yo-yo, rather than an inexpensive children’s toy. For someone who is serious about learning this, rather than just having a fidget toy, this kit is probably a good one. However, for those who—like me—wanted a yo-yo to use while listening to a class video or thinking, this was too much work to try and learn the skills for. I did manage to follow videos and figure out how to make the yo-yo return, but the shape of the toy also made it harder for my hand to properly catch it as it rebounded.

This yo-yo is definitely an upgrade from the ones I had as a kid (and they weren't bad!). It works just as a yo-yo should. It comes in a snazzy case that's a big improvement from the days of carrying it in a pocket. There is some assembly required, depending on how you want to use the yo-yo, but it's not too difficult. It's cute, it glows in the dark (really), and it's fun. I recommend it.
