This item feels sturdy and well made. Simple controls with the ability to delay the start time if you have a cheaper night rate for electric. Didn't overheat as some portable chargers are claimed to do. Cost about a fiver to add 100 miles to my car

I was initially nervous about using this, fearing it might trip my fuse box, but it’s worked perfectly. My fuse box is five years old, and I’ve had no issues charging. I’ve only used up to 10A to be safe, avoiding 13A except at designated charging points. It’s a cost-effective alternative to installing a home charging station while still benefiting from lower-priced home charging.The only downside is that it's slower, and I haven’t figured out a winter setup for running the cable through the window—but that’s my issue, not the product’s fault.Overall, I’m glad I bought it—it’s already paid for itself in under six months

Day one - A good quality charger with adjustable ampage and a delay start. The only slight criticism is that the control unit display faces backwards when plugged in.The display itself is nice and clear.5 months later - the weather proof charger is full of water and tripping my house electrics ! Maybe not such a great buy. In response Ramtouch advise the unit is IP65 rated suited to temporary outside use and mild rain but not downpours and prolonged outside use.Update : contacted Ramtouch and they are sending a free replacement model more suited to outside use - great service and quick response.

Charges as quickly as a wallbox unit, without your electricity supplier being able to monitor and control charging (they stop the charger if they deem it).Okay, I cant leverage the 8.5p/kw EV rate, but I have nighttime rate of 12p, so I just charge it after 21:00!Regular reports charging at 24miles/hour which is better than the public charging units in my village (16-18 miles).
