NuGoProtein Bar, Churro, 11g Protein, Gluten Free, 15 Count

We Have these at my dialyisis unit and I absoluting love these bars. The protein and carb are the perfect amount. You can't find these in stores so you have to order then which may be a tad pricey, but they come in bulk. It's a perfect snack for craving is you are on dialysis.

It is like a gluten-free rice crispy bar. I cannot have anything with seeds and nuts, which means it is hard to find a protein bar or a go-on-the-run lunch replacement. I prefer the vanilla. This bar does not disappoint.

Excellent product! Side note, the 1st box arrived and the chocolate coating had obvious signs of heat exposure and was discolored and crumbly. I contacted customer service and within 2 days I had a NEW box of fresh, perfect Nugo Bars! Thanks Amazon for treating me right!

I ordered these for their low glycemic value, yet the taste is so sweet that I think they could go much lower and still be delicious, thus eliminating yet more sugar. I also ordered them bc I am gluten-intolerant and while the fallout from eating gluten is not medically urgent, it does cause noticeable swelling of the face and extreme exhaustion akin to taking 2 behadryl at once, as your body gets all jiggy and busy making gluten antibodies that it saps resources of energy.In fact, I have read that 1 in 3 people are gluten intolerant to some degree, yet most are undiagnosed. I have been studying food and nutrition informally -- and as outlet and re-channeling for my OCD tendencies -- for years, and it seems the body is set up such that anything we humans eat too much of, as in daily, meaning both frequency and quantity, has an as-yet-unquantified likelihood of morphing into an allergen, thus endorsing said research findings.A quick pondering of a typical diet in our culture, or a trip to the supermarket as a recently-diagnosed gluten intolerant person, will be evidence enough of the prevalence of gluten in the majority of foods we eat regularly and which compromise "American Cuisine". One can even find gluten-free pure vanilla extract and sort sauce, meaning it is like `Savoir Faire'; it is everywhere!So if you feel bloated and exhausted all the time, perhaps a quick blood test will diagnose gluten-intolerance and a change of dietary regimen will make you both look and feel younger? After 6 weeks of being gluten-free many people asked me if I had snuck off to have plastic surgery, so there was an added bonus to getting huge chunks of my life back via the newfound energy sufficient to have a life and thus be out and about, so as to even be accused of sneaking off.I'd have given these 5 stars if they were less sweet, or used stevia, which is simply a ground up root, inevitably heavy in fiber, native to Peru, and which the FDA once tried to shut down due to pressure from the Big Three in the corn belt, who make gazillions on High Fructose Corn Syrup, which is actually BANNED in all countries but ours (US) and which triggers the hypothalamus such that with every oreo we eat, we feel increased hunger, and thus, we have an obesity problem.Didn't mean to get out my soapbox, but I feel so strongly about HFCS and once I removed it from my diet (it is chemicals, for heaven's sake! You are eating, and feeding your kids, chemicals!) it only supported suspicions of having snuck off for plastic surgery. Which I didn't do. But maybe would, if I could afford it. One can never know what one might do with sudden lottery tickets and societal pressures to be forever young. ;-)

Delicious fresh and great taste for the cost

Purchased these for my mom because she cannot have anything that’s high in phosphorus or sodium because of her kidney disease. Being on dialysis has really restricted her from a lot of things but these were recommended at the dialysis center and my mom likes them. They are a bit on the pricey side but my mom says they are tasty and easy to grab for the go when needed or a quick snack
