Great for those that want to make their own will
This is a great program. The book is great and explains everything so that MOST people can understand it. I am single with one son so nothing was very complicated. The finished product looks very professional and it is of course COMPLETELY legal and satisfactory for a Last Will and Testament.

This was very helpful
Once I entered my password they had updates for my state and it was totally worth buying and saving all the high cost of using attorneys ready to grab up the high cost of making a trust and will.

BEWARE: Amazon is selling these books and the codes for the software do not work.
Bought this book in 2022 to write my will. When I went to use the code for the software it did not work. I tried contacting NOLO's Customer Service via email and phone multiple times. Could never get through on the phone to a live person for assistance and the calls were always disconnected by the NOLO. UPDATE: Got email support and was able to use the software.

Product worked eventually, but had to contact support to get a valid download/key.
Product seems good so far, but my issue is with the invalid product keys being shipped with the books. I ordered and received the book on time & it even had the product key on the back cover, but when I went to redeem it, the product key was invalid. I tried to call the number for support, but support is only M-F during business hours only and I tried on a Saturday morning to install this... Anyways, I sent an email to customer support and received a response with a download link first thing on Monday morning in my spam inbox. Download worked and software is running now. Shipped and sold by Amazon, but mine had issues redeeming & hence the 3 stars.

Just OK, but problems when you want to make changes later on...
A product I purchased years back in 2010 when I first created my revocable living trust and 'pour over will' to accompany it. At the time, it was a fairly straightforward process and I printed out all the associated documents, and hustled over to the local notary public at a famous shipping store and got everything notarized. Years go by, and I made some small refinements where I altered the percentages handed down to various beneficiaries, and that was again a smooth process, albeit I had to rebuy the 'current' version of Quicken Willmaker (more on that process in a moment). I once again printed out the revised (updated) trust and will documents and once again travelled and got everything notarized. Fast forward to 2025, I wanted to alter the percentages once again, so I purchased Quicken Willmaker 2025 from Amazon, but this time, it was impossible to make alterations or modifications to the original document in a way that made me feel comfortable. The problem is this program doesn't let you go back and edit anything from a prior year, period. It asks you to type the language exactly that you want to modify from the original document and then type the new 'modified' text. I am likely not conveying this properly, but suffice it to say you are better off going to a trust attorney and paying whatever it costs to have things done properly and RETAINED in the attorney's computers, in case you want to make changes later. The reality is that things happen, and people die or fall out from grace. When you want to make revisions down the road, that will NOT be an easy or comfortable process, and will require you to rebuy the software each year when you want to make a change. In my opinion, this product could be MUCH MUCH MUCH better, but Quicken (or whomever they paid to write this software product) is more interested in collecting ongoing fees every time you want to make a change (by making you re-buy the product over and over). In addition, I was unable to call up my old documents and 'cut and paste them' into the 2025 version of the program. If you try calling in to Quicken support (it's actually another company called NOLO [from the latin nolo contendere meaning "I don't contest it"] the support person will do their best to try to refer you to a participating attorney at additional expense. It's like the famous line in that western comedy "What we have here is a FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE". I would pass on this and did. I returned it unused to Amazon. What a huge disappointment.

Worked for me
So it's literally a book. On the inside of the back cover of the book is a product key. You go to the website (which worked) enter your name and email address and the product key. They email you a link to set up an on-line account. I was done in a matter of minutes without any problems. You can also download the software to your computer, which I did. As for the software itself I've only started using it. However we've used it in the past and it works. We're not really concerned about an all out legal battle over our wills - so it's more just getting down our wishes in something that hopefully is legal.
