This is great for the Science Fair. It was easy for my scholar to put this together.

I’m a homeschool mom. I got this for my son as a science project. It’s a great stem to add to your homeschool curriculum. It’s not too complicated

This was a fun build for my 8-year-old and it is such a cute radio. He enjoyed everything except the mini screwdriver which was appreciated but when screwing these little screws into bamboo, a larger handle with better grip was much easier.The directions were tolerable. Tongue twisters for sure but re-read a few times and it makes sense eventually. There were only a few spots where I stumbled but the pictures were enough.So we got this all together and it didn’t work. I unscrewed it, double-checked the connections, looked at it some more, and suddenly it worked. Then we used it for a day and it stopped again. I’m not a big “hit it again” fan but we did and it works again. So there’s a loose connection in there somewhere.While this is a “build a radio” kit, the board is premade (and comes in an ESD bag - nice touch) so you’re really hooking up the battery, speaker, and building the container. Still cute and I like it better than a bunch of the other stem kits that make a toy they won’t use. This is actually useful.

My 10 year old son picked this out with his birthday money. It was very easy to build and works as it should. He had funning building it and felt very accomplished that he built a working portable radio. Definitely recommend for any kid who loves to build or work with their hands!

Our 8yr old grandson put this together and loved it.
