Great product, especially for the price!
I'll start off this review by saying that while this is my first smart door lock, I have helped family and friends installing their "smart" door locks that weren't very smart. They had constant issues where the password wouldn't work, or it wouldn't unlatch all they way preventing you from getting in, etc. I always assumed that smart door locks were more hassle than they were worth, but the Anona Holo proved me wrong.I have a dog whom I let into the backyard frequently and I often forget to lock the door once he comes back inside the home. I got this lock to keep me and my pup safe when I forget to lock the door and give me some peace of mind. I can easily say that this products more than exceeds my expectations.I have two other Anona devices, both being their battery-operated security cameras that I use to keep an eye on my dog and I had a good experience with those (an easy recommendation from me for those as well) which is why I chose this brand for the door lock.Lets get into the review.Build quality:The devices are made with a mix of aluminum and PC (I think). both the door lock and the keypad are well built. The keypad also has a rubber gasket around the battery compartment to prevent water ingress when its raining. I even dropped the door lock while installing it because I am very clumsy and there was not a single scratch or dent on it. It's very easy to install new batteries into the lock when needed as it has a magnetic latch.Installation:This took me about 30 minutes to install. That's from the moment I started unscrewing my old lock to the moment I had installed this smart lock and the keypad. One thing I like about the keypad is that it comes with an adhesive bracket. That's great for people like me who rent and don't want to drill holes. Everything you need comes with the camera, with a screw driver being the only tool you need to get it up and running.Set up:The set up took about 5-10 minutes which included hooking this up to my WiFi, calibrating the lock, and adding the keypad to the app. Speaking of WiFi, I was half expecting issues as I use a 5GHz mesh network that some "smart" devices have trouble connecting to. This lock connected instantly and has not disconnected even once which is great news. The app:The app is a highlight of this device. Like I mentioned I have other Anona devices too and the app provides a convenient way to access and control all my Anona devices in one place. You can tie the lock to Google Home, Apple HomeKit, or Amazon Alexa if you use those ecosystems. One thing I love about the app is the "silent update" feature. It automatically downloads and updates the app at a set time (usually very early in the morning) so you don't have to worry about keeping your door lock updated. This feature has worked great with my Anona cameras and I was glad to see it present for the Holo lock too.The app also has a "history" page that shows me all events from all my devices in a chronological order which I love. It means I don't have to go and check each device individually and can see everything that happened one one spot. It keeps a history too! There's also no monthly subscription or hidden fees. You pay for the lock and start using it. Simple.Overall I am very satisfied with this door lock and would easily recommend it to others, especially so if you have other Anona devices.

Lock was already bound to another user! “Resolved”
I bought this during the winter amazone prime days. Purchased a new item. Bought a warranty. I could not connect to the app because it said the lock was already bound to another user. The batteries were still in shrink wrapping and all the parts were in sealed bags. Why would you sell me a refurbished item when it stated new. And why didn’t you connect to it and clear out the settings when the item was returned. This was a big waste of my time I had to remove locks and handles and swap them to different locations and I get this. So disappointing. I’m reaching out to the manufacturer to see how they can fix this. Probably have to send it back which is annoying and more time wasted.Xxxxxx Update xxxxxI contacted the manufacturer and they shipped me a new unit in a few days. Was able to setup and test. Connecting to Alexa with “matter” was a bit more challenging than usual. A few more steps but I’m able to control it through Alexa. I like the way it attaches to any existing deadbolt. I did have to drill my deadbolt slot deeper as it kept reporting a jam. It’s much more quiet than my kwikset smart lock and has a much smaller footprint which is why I upgraded. It was interfering with my Schlage door handle and when I set it up it would cause the Schlage to lose connection so I had reset that as well. So far both are working and I set up timed lock at 9pm every day through Alexa. I will update again in a few weeks.Final update…After having tested the item. It has been pretty solid. It locks and unlocks via Alexa app well. It hasn’t had any jams and wasn’t causing interference with my z-wave door handle at all it was low batteries on the door handle. It’s a good item that lets me use my Schlage deadbolt and I will probably buy another for the back door. Anona Customer service also exceeded my expectations on this item.

Works great, strong and easy to install
The lock looks great, the reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the connectivity, it is very very finicky when it comes to integrating it with google home or alexa, it will absolutely not work with home assistant, hope they update that in the future. It uses safe protocols so it is pretty safe, it feels super well built, you cant see there is a smart lock from the outside so its renter friendly, so far I have not had to replace the batteries and they have lasted pretty long now (few months and still more than half) so great battery life.

Fantastic setup, can’t recommend enough for apartment dwellers!
Installation was extremely quick and easy, and the only tool needed to install is a standard screwdriver. I was able to install in less than 15 minutes, and the app was helpful to add the device to my home internet. My leasing company is quick to charge fees for tampering with anything like the locks, thermostats, etc., so I like that the lock looks completely undetectable from the outside of my unit. Also, the original key still works in the lock in case maintenance does need to come in, the locks battery dies, etc.The app is quick to request locking/unlocking, and even has a timer to auto lock after a set time. I have had no issues so far with connectivity with the app or device itself. I do think I’ll try to buy the keypad later, but for now the app alone works great.
