Excellent Light and Magnifier
I love this lamp. Use it for crafts, like cross stitch. I recommend it. I have used a few desk magnifiers. This is my favorite. The base is large and useful- holds magnetic items, like needle holders and needle minders. Movable and flexible. I love it. I do not mind plugging it in. I use the magnifier whenever I need additional viewing, since I cannot work under the magnifier all the time. I would buy again.

Terrific Lamp and Setup
This really worked for my desktop needs, either with the long metal base or the strong clamp attachment. The magnifier is very clear and sharp and the light adjustments cover a variety of settings for optimal use.Highly recommended.

Nice Magnifier - Good Image Quality
Comes with both a clamp and a base, so you either can clamp it to a table, or mount it on the base plate to use on the table's surface. Brightness is good, and the choice of 5 color temperatures lets you tailor the light to your liking. Nice image quality, reasonably sharp even at the edges. Having the controls on the head unit is definitely the way to go. My only criticism is that the head unit does not articulate. It only rotates about its axis so it's difficult to adjust the angle of the lens to align it with your work when using the table clamp. This is not an issue when using the base, because you can simply move the whole unit around to align it with your work. A ball socket here would have allowed free rotation in any direction and would have made this light perfect, and I would have given it 5 stars. Also, I would recommend pulling out about an inch of the wire at each of the two pivot points on the arm to give it some slack. This will relieve the stress on the wire as you're adjusting the arms up and down and help prevent it from getting pulled out of the head unit.

Magnifying lamp.
Light with magnifier on it, really lights it up and blows up the little lettering whatever you work on too.

I refuse to admit my eyesight is going bad...
This thing is fantastic. Its got multiple levels of brightness, warm and white light. The elongated viewing space was what appealed to me. It clamps to my table really easy. I do wish the lamp it self could turn side to side since I use this on my easel. But overall, worth it.

Perfect magnifying lamp for sewing and diamond painting
In the last 5 months, I’ve purchased two for my crafting tables. The size of the lens and light modes are perfect for me.

Really good quality, with a reservation on design
This magnifying lamp has a weighted base that provides good stability. The manufacturer included a Hex L Wrench that's used to tighten the screw that holds the socket to the base. And, thoughtfully, an extra screw as well. The main arm of the lamp slips into the socket and a knob is tightened to secure it in place. Here's where the design is limited. The arm only extends forward, not to either side. In other words, it doesn't rotate. It can only be used in the forward position, which is okay as, in theory, you'll always be positioning the magnifier over your work. But I would have liked the option to move the lamp more freely. You can tilt it up, down, and slightly forward and back. So I guess that's a workaround.I bought this lamp to work on cross stitch, using fabrics with small threads that are hard to see without some magnification and good light. The 10X magnification was a selling point for me as most lamps have much less. The 10X allows me to see even 22 count fabric easily. The manufacturer does not provide a protective sleeve for the lamp head, which is a disappointment. As a fine instrument, it would be sensible to have a sleeve to slip over the head when it's not in use. That would protect the magnifying lens and light from dust, etc. I found that a sock works beautifully when the lamp is on my table.I haven't yet done any extensive work with the magnifying lamp, so I'll have to update this review after I've used it for a while. But, so far, it meets my hopes, with a couple of design flaws. In this price range, I believe the manufacturer could have made those design adjustments easily without adding much to their production costs.
