I believe that the first unpacking experience was easy and uncomplicated, which established a favorable tone for the other events that were to take place. Great for the whole family. Originally, I just ordered the cream chair, it was more than I had wanted to spend on a playroom “bean bag chair” but it had the arm rests that I wanted for a more secure sit.It comes very tightly packed and feels like a cinder block, so the unpacking and watching it inflate was satisfying on its own (when you work from home, this is exciting entertainment). I helped it along by sitting on all the sides and smooshing it. Definitely unpack it in the room you want it in, it’s not impossible to move around by myself (5’5-130lb) but I’d probably have a hard time moving to another level of the house. There is a slight chemical smell at first but it goes away within an hour or two of unpacking (I opened a window and it aired out very quickly).Even with the higher price tag- I ended up ordering the light grey with the foot puff after I saw the quality. I’ve only had them for about a month so we will see how they withstand the constant activity. I’ve spot cleaned the cream one and it seems to have taken it well (handheld vacuum then sprayed oxyclean after muddy dog played on it). I’m sure the grey one will end up working out better in my house.I wish I could order the puffs separately because I didn’t splurge on the extra charge with the cream seat.Son loves it (10 mo) dog loves it (50lb) daughter loves it (14 yrs) husband loves it (aging faster due to my Amazon shopping, he’s over 6ft tho and finds the chair comfortable and supportive enough for him).

The beanbag chair was nice, but a few things to keep in mind.1. There was a bit of a smell in the beginning, but this is common with memory foam pillows, furniture, etc. Eventually goes away2. There is no back support - this should be obvious with a bean bag chair, but should be noted. It is very comfortable to lay back in it, but you should not expect to be sitting upright with back support3. Given #2, it is probably better to order it with the ottoman. You can NOT buy the ottoman by itself (at least I could not find a way to do that)4. MOST IMPORTANTLY - do not expect that you can return it once you buy it. As others have stated, it comes pressure compacted so it can be boxed. If you try to return it, the only options are to bring it to an amazon center or UPS "boxed". There is no way to re-compact it and put it in a box and it is very large, so basically it is misleading to say It can be returned...so make sure this is something you really want to keep

Total disappointment! First ripped within 2 days of unboxing. My mom patched it up and just yesterday another large rip. This was not cheap and it's too heavy to return. No way to contact the company, or at least Amazon makes it really difficult. I could never return because it expanded so much after unboxing. Don't buy it.

Have had the chair for a little over 3 weeks now. It's comfy, plush feeling, and still stinks so badly of chemicals that I can barely stand to spend time in the same room as it.When it was first unwrapped I had to actively ventilate the room it was in or else be overcome with an odor-induced headache.I'm holding out hope that the smell will fade, but it's kind of insane that it's still this bad. I can only tolerate sitting in the chair for about 10 minutes at a time, which is unfortunate because it is comfortable.If you have any sort of sensitivity to smell, look elsewhere.
