1 year later
I own 2 pairs of these. 1 steel toe, and one without. I work in a food cannery. These boots have kept my feet dry and have held up to a solid year of everyday wear. I average 10-18 miles a day of walking at my job. The sole still has good tread and the boots have held their shape and structure very well. The balance (foot section) of the boot is synthetic leather. At first this upset me. After some time I realized that it was better for the environment i work in. They are more waterproof than an average boot with a much lower price point. I have owned several other top boot brands (Ariat, Timberland, Keen, Redwing) that were around 200-230$ a pair and by the end of the year I am 2 month overdue for new boots. The insoles on these are beaten down and the heel is worn out on the inside so they need to be retired. Follow standard cowboy boot fitment when selecting a size. Most people go half a size down. You want alittle heel slip but not much. Remember the material will stretch so alittle snug is ideal to having the perfect fit when they are broken in. I stand by Dan Post boots year round. I have a winter pair (blaydes without ST) and a summer pair (standard cowboy boots with thin rubber sole) and my work boots. I ride motorcycles, weld, cut wood, and all around abuse this brand. With alittle saddle conditioner a few times a year they just keep going.

seriously disappointed
Bought these boots 5 months ago and the lining is coming out of the one boot so bad i took to repair shop and they said they are a lost cause. These were expensive boots to only last 5 months. With not a lot of wearing maybe twice a week. Really thought I was buying a good quality boot by a reputable company but I even tried to reach out to Dan post and they said not our problem outside return time. When I asked about their supposed warranty I was told by Dan post company "see if amazon will help". Amazon says again outside return window. Don't buy these boots unless you have money to through away.

Great work boots
Great quality all around. Very comfortable boot. Even though they are waterproof I covered them in mink oil before wearing them. Soles stick to the ground and don’t collect a lot of mud.Leather is soft, already have a small 1” cut on the toe after 1 week of wear. I could probably fill will brown polish. But after all, I bought them to work in not to go dancing.

Very poor quality
Had these boots for less than a week an the inside material separated on both boots. The left side you couldn't get your foot out of an the right side you couldn't get your foot in.
