Build Quality is KEY
Simple and elegant design. No shortcuts in construction with all necessary QUALITY parts included. Packed well and undamaged upon arrival. Edison style normal socket provided so you can choose the bulb type that works for you. This design is timeless, no goofy design flourishes or modifications from the original design, just true to the original unadorned ceramic style that became popular in the 1950s. Unobtrusive uplighting is highly underrated yet adds safety and highlights generally unnoticed architectural details. Great finish as delivered, yet can be easily painted if that is your desire. Easily installed to code based on the ETL / UL complaint design. Cost is a factor yet you get what you pay for here.

Totally opaque fixture
The listing photo makes it seem like this fixture would allow some light to come through the side of the shade/globe and thus glow. But it is totally opaque and light only comes out the open top. If you are looking for a sconce with a glowing look like we were, this is not the one you want. It is otherwise a good quality fixture.

Same as described
Very close to what I need. Not exactly, but it's acceptable. Little bit heavier then I need and pricey. Other then that - fine. Not impressive, but acceptable after re-painted in marblized appearance.

Great sconces
Quality was even better than I expected. I used an LED bulb and am very pleased. These replaced a pair of very dated sconces and dramatically updated the room.
