So I was using this cable to connect my computers case fan controller to theothrrboard it's self. All the ports worked fine, and seemed like there wouldn't be a problem. Turned on the PC and poof, the wire blew and gave me a good jump scare. Ordered this same cable from a different company and it worked just as expected. Wouldn't recommend this wire

Basic item, but does everything it is supposed to do, and is quality made.

I used this to add another fan to a desktop that did not have another fan connector on the motherboard. I used this to split the power going to the existing CPU fan in order to add a case fan. Working well, and was able to lower my temps about 20 degrees F. Just make sure you check to see if you need a 3-pin or 4-pin adapter. If you do a web search on "PWM", you'll understand what it is, and what the 4th pin is for.

Very helpful if you need two fans on a CPU when you're motherboard only supports 1 CPU fan.
