Brilliant knife nice and sharp and the rubber handle helps you secure your grip when cutting

For the last couple of months I have been using a friend's knife with an identical blade holding and folding mechanism and I was so impressed with it I've now bought my own. This model (24383) is only slightly different from Draper 06866 which has so far received 100% five star ratings. Unlike some utility knives the blades are held firmly in the stock allowing more accurate cutting. Releasing and replacing the blade is a simple procedure though, because of the fine tolerances, sliding the blade back into its slot requires slightly more pressure than usual. As long as one holds the knife with the cutting edge away from one it seems a pretty safe procedure though one needs to press the release button to ensure the blade finally locks in the correct position.The "folding button" is well placed, has a very positive action and is unlikely to be activated by mistake. The blade folds away and locks securely within the handle making this a completely safe knife to have rattling around in a toolbox. The blade will not appear uninvited! Model 24383 has a comfortable to hold and rubberised finish to the handle. The whole knife seems well finished and so far, none of my screws has come loose - well, not on the knife anyhow!

Nice knife bought it because of the really useful belt hook and I'm pleased that it also locks in the closed position. Comes with a blunt blade which must be another safety feature but otherwise fine.

I am really liking this knife, the blade is replaceable and folds away for safety it has the push button release so it can't open accidentally.
