This was a gift for a friend of mine who needed a soldering kit quickly for a short project, after his main gear broke down. My friend was shocked when I told him the price of it, he said that it handled well and worked better than what he expected especially after hearing about the price. It did not fall short on anything, it feels extremely well built and after having used it on a few other small projects, he said that it was very durable for the task. It came with a few extra goodies and a small guide that for the price is great. If you need a soldering kit or want to try a soldering kit, this is the one for you.

Excellent kit for those who have never soldered before (like me). I have successfully soldered very small, close-together joints in electronics using this kit. The iron has worked perfectly so far. The solder sucker doesn't work perfectly reliably (which might not be unusual for solder suckers - I don't know), since solder gets stuck inside the tip, and when there's too much in the tip, it doesn't suck any more solder in. I've managed to push the solder through the tip a few times, thus clearing it for further use. The little stand is very lightweight, so you have to make sure that it's on a solid surface and that the soldering iron's cord isn't hanging off of the surface on which you're working, since otherwise the stand will slide around and won't be a safe thing to rest your iron upon. But with those caveats, this is a great kit, and incredible for the low price!

It works well, but not for what I needed it for. I replaced the joysticks on my ps5 controller, but the soldering iron wasn't consistently hot enough, so I bought a better iron. This isn't a bad iron and the e book is worth a good deal. Just not what was needed. The 60w seems more like 40w. The 450c seems more like 370c.

I have done quite a lot of soldering in my time, but not in the last few years.I got this kit not expecting much, just appreciating that it had so many convenient items included.And, other than the omission of a stand, and flux, I am very impressed!I was able to whip this out of the box and assemble my small electronics project in no time.Iron feels well made, heats up quickly, and has a handy temperature control dial.Highly recommend for this price point. Not 'pro' grade stuff, but more than enough for a light hobbyist.

I have only had this Plusivo Soldering iron kit for just a few days, and have only used it for about an hour.I can say that even if it stopped working right now, it would have already paid for itself(12$).I was able to replace a couple of capacitors in a flat screen TV, wire a webcam from a laptop to a USB cable, and replace a headphone jack on two pair of headphones.I got this because I needed a smaller tip iron for the headphone jack repair.I will say that one should avoid running the iron at full temp for extended periods with the small tip. I recommend reducing temp until ready to use and reducing temp while idle. The small tip easily becomes deformed, but still functions.The solder sucker actually works great, I have braid but used the included tool and it performed perfectly.They include a generous amount of shrink wrap, which I used on the headphones. I think it adds a clean finish.I guess the only thing missing is some flux, but for the low price I really can't complain. Even without it, the solder included in the kit adhered fine, I am pretty sure it is a hollow core with rosin.I would definitely recommend this product for convenience and performance.

Instructions are unclear but I kinda figured it out. It's pretty good quality and it does get really hot and do what it is supposed to. It came with several tips, as well.

Showed up on time I was excited to receive it I haven't used it yet but I like the way it was packaged and I would recommend it to somebody else for sure
